A Trap for Mario

This illustration was done for a friend as a clothing decal. The style of the design was in emulation of that used by Nintendo for the Mario brand of games. The concept behind the piece is a pair of Koopa Troopa's painting a Goomba to mimic the appearance of a Super Shroom. The clever trio are fed up with Mario squishing their kind and have come up with an ingenious ruse to trap the clueless, jumping hero. The image was created entirely in GIMP.
